ABRAM PEAVY - Of Taliaferro Co., GA Pvt. in Capt. Stuart's Company.

Rgt. commanded by Col. Stuart. Served in the VA line for 15 months of

regular service consisting of 3 months draft and 12 months voluntary in

various assignments and units. Abram was born in NC near Hillsboro,

in Orange Co. His stated migration path was Orange Co. NC, to

Richmond Co. GA, to Wilkes Co. GA and finally to Taliaferro Co.

GA There is apparent uncertainty as to his age. In 1832, he believed

that he was about 77 but also thought he was 16-17 in 1776.

(Research note: Family was not mentioned in pension documents other

than father moving from NC to GA when Abram was 14 years old. NARA
